Captain and Recruit a Team and Run for Free!** |

|  The two hardest parts of a
successful relay trip are finding people who want to run and getting all the
details planned. Running Escapes can handle the details but we need help finding
runners. This is where a Team Captain comes in. And, we are willing to give you
a free package on the team. So, if you know other runners, this role is perfect
for you. |

| What does it mean to be a Captain of a team? |
|  First, it means you will need to
get 11(5 for an Ultra team) of your friends to sign-up for the relay.
Second, you will be in charge of the team at the relay and have the following
duties:
• Bring and stock the coolers for the vans.
• Pick-up the vans
• Handle on-site captain task (packet pick-up, runner substitutions, course
changes, etc)
• Know the race rules and make sure your team complies
• Collect receipts for hotels, vans, gas, etc and send to us after the race.
We will pre-pay as much as possible. |

| What will Running Escapes do for you
and the team? |
| Running Escapes will work with
you and handle all the pre-planning that must take place for a team to have an
easy, fun and worry-free time. Our duties include the following:
• We will handle collecting the money so you do not have to harass your friends
for cash.
• We will handle paying the money and take care of all items that can be done
beforehand (registration, hotels and vans)
• We will work with you on team race-shirts, van decorations, safety equipment,
etc to keep your job easy.
• We will prepare a race book for each van with all the information you will
need (maps, course information, emergency information, race rules, running
order, where to eat, where to get gas, etc.)
• It needs to be said again… we will give you, the team captain, a FREE** entry
onto the team.

| You are ready to Captain, how do you
get started? |
|
• Choose an event that you want to go run and select the trip package from the
homepage.
• Complete the individual registration and select the “Captain a Team” button.
If you do not see this button on the trip detail page, then we are not accepting
captains for that event.
• From the “Travel Center” page, select “Invite” next to the event you are
captaining and send emails to the folks you want to invite.
• When you sign into your Travel Center you will be able to see the current
number of runners that are on your team.

| **What does FREE mean? |
|
As a captain, you will not pay the “Event Cost” so anything included in our
normal package is free. You will be responsible for your own meals, airfare and other
transportation that was not included.
