What is a long distance Relay and what does Running
Escapes do?
Long distance relay races are events that involve a team of 12 runners
taking on a course of 200 miles on average. Each runner will run 3 times
for about 6 miles at a time. The average runner will cover 18 miles.
Most races run through the night. The team will
begin early on a Friday or Saturday and finish the
following day. more about the races>>
Running Escapes organinzes teams to participate in these races. We found
that not all runners had 11 friends who could travel the same weekend to
participate in a race. So, we take individual runners, couples or groups
of friends and build a full team to run the relay. Additionally, one of us
will come run with you and make sure it all goes well. more details>>

Clearmont, KY to Lexington, KY
While the Bourbon Chase race is sold out, we have a team to fill! This
race travels through the bluegrass country side. It begins near
Louisville, KY and finishes in downtown Lexington. The beautiful course
winds through many small towns, distilleries and the Keenland Race Track.

people who want to run and getting all the details planned. Running Escapes can
handle the details but we need help finding runners. This is where a Team
Captain comes in. And, we are willing to waive our package fee for your efforts.
